I'll start off naming the 2 elements of this issue:
?my headset, Corsair Vengeance 1500
?my laptop upgraded to Windows 10, Dell Inspiron 15R
Since I upgraded to Windows 10, this issue appeared:
I always have the headset plugged in. If I disconnect the headset to use the speakers, and plug in back the headset to use it, it is recognized and the volume control will refer to it, but won't work. In its place the speakers will continue to work.
If I go in the Control Panel and try to have a test with the headset, an error message will appear telling there is a problem.
How to fix this? It's pretty annoying rebooting my laptop each time to make the headset work whenever this happens.
Take note that before I had Windows 8 and this issue never happened with it, and that I have installed all the drivers, even the utility to make use of Surround 7.1 and all that nice stuff for the audio.
