Since the Windows 10 install I cannot play a dvd. How can I fix the error message video could not be decoded?

have windows 10 install cannot play a dvd error message video could not be decoded

have installed windows 10 but unable to play a DVD get an error
message to say video could not be decoded

I have just updated from windows 7 to 10. Unable to play dvd's, message says, error: video could not be decoded. Could you help?

If you have problems with the current media player, you can try VLC, it should be able to reproduce DVD's smoothly.
