Windows 10--Many YouTube videos simply will not play, also sound problems

When I tried my YouTube favorites (after downloading Win10), I noticed that many of them (not all) simply will not show the video. The sound is also making a static/crackling noise in many of the vids. To test it, I went back to Internet Explorer (you can do this by going to Settings (top right of screen) and choose "Use Internet Explorer".

Anyway, when I use IE, YouTube vids play perfectly fine. Just today, I've also seen this happen when I try a Facebook video.

What's up with Windows 10 or Edge? Anybody working on it at Microsoft?

Use a different browser for now or use a youtube app from the store

What exactly is an "Ambassador"? Notice that on title of someone who replied to a query r/t failure of videos from You Tube (and elsewhere) to play post W10 install...
Also his suggestion r/t use of "another browser" means what? Edge won't work? IE won't work? Insofar as youtube app, that doesn't solve problem of failure to open/play on PC and/or laptop/Surface machines...

This just wasted my whole morning. Using IE in Windows 10 x64 just plays choppy Audio.

In desperation I tried other browsers and guess what? No Problemo!!
