Why am I unable to adjust my screen brightness after the Windows 10 upgrade?

Unable to adjust screen brightness after windows 10 upgrade.

I upgraded to windows 10 on 05/08/15. after completion of the upgrade the screen brightness increased tremendously. i am not able to reduce it. i tried mobility centre, device manager and all usual methods. kindly advise

What device do you have? Surface 3 had that problem at release but a driver update fixed it.

I have the same problem, surface pro 2 4200. I've updated to latest drivers from intel, still no good. The Intel HD Family device is disabled by windows in device manger with a code 43 error.

They fixed that on the Surface 3 a few days post release. Intel seems to be a little slow at updating their drivers. MS needs to light a fire under Intel.
