Why don't I have sound/low volume after installing Windows 10?

no sound/low volume after installing windows 10

after installing windows 10, I can't hear any sound from my computer, and low volume when play audio files.

I'm pretty sure the people at Microsoft are working their asses off to solve this problem since alot of people are suffering from it including me. However, from most of the comments on the Internet, I noticed that people who upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10 suffer more from this problem. In addition to that, some got their's fixed by changing the Default Format sample and bit depth in the Advanced settings in the Playback Devices. My problem wasn't fixed after doing that and every time my sound randomly stops working (even my mic stops), I have to restart my computer (sometimes more than once). So I hope they get this fixed in the next Windows Update.

Had the same problem, what fixed it for me was opening the volume properties & checking the properties of the sound card & ticking disable enhancements.

Hi There,
It could be quite a few things such as drivers, or maybe the solution could be as simple as updating the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC.
