Why is my Windows 10 Toshiba Laptop running very slow

Good evening. Hope I'm posting in the right spot. I have a Toshiba Laptop with an AMD processor, 4gb Ram, 500 Gig hard drive with 366gb free. It is running very slow. I have over 70 processes running. I'm pretty sure I don't need that many but I don't know what is needed and what is not. I've tried to copy the list but can't figure out how to do it. I'm using open office. Thanks for any help!

Had the same thing happen to me... Run a diagnostics test.. That's how I found out the hard drive went bad... It was extremely slow...

Thanks for the info. I had already tested the components and everything is good. I've ran CCCleaner, Super Anti Spyware, MalwareBytes, etc with no improvement. At a lose where to go.

Could be some programs that were installed have gotten corrupted some how.... I would back up my personal files and erase the computer from scratch... Sometimes that is needed
