How/can I change to short day format?

As best as I can tell, the the windows 10 date format has four options beginning with "month" and only one beginning with "day"?

My accounting software will not run unless I can get the short date format starting with day. The nearest option is 13/Aug/15 ... no option for 13/8/15, 13/08/15 etc...

Found the answer:
Even if your region is set as Australia, you still need to look further down the setting page and select "English (Australian)" as the DEFAULT language pack. The other options for "day first" will then appear in the date and time section of settings.


Settings > region and Language > Languages > English (Australian) set to default.
