Since upgrading to Windows 10 my E Machines monitor display is out of resolution and elongated, how can I fix it?

Windows Central Question

since upgrading to windows 10 my e machines monitor display is out of resolution and elongated

I have gone into display settings and since updating does not recognise the manufacturer's monitor nor another monitor I tried. Any ideas?
