I put my pc on sleep mode about everyday, but when I try to wake it up, it completely shuts off. I usually have sleep mode on overnight. I've check and messed with some of the Power Option, but they all seem normal. Any suggestions?

This problem started in the beta phase for some Windows 10 users. In the first week of August, this year, there were many threads about this problem from new Windows 10 users. It has not been fixed at this point. Several people with the problem indicated that they had contacted Microsoft and their computer's manufacturer, but the problem was still not fixed, not by power drains or any other method suggested by support representatives. No updates have fixed the problem. The only fix is to go back to Windows 8.1 and hope they eventually care enough to come up with a version of Windows 10 that works like it is supposed to.

It appears that the current Sleep Mode in Windows 10 is similar to just turning off the screen in Phones... to my surprise I heard a notification sound from my laptop while it was "Sleeping", just around the same time my phone received a notification for one of the universal apps. I might be wrong in making an analogy about turning the screens in phones off, but it appears resultant in combination with the rather rapid draining of the battery.

From then on, I've resorted to "Hibernate" instead of "Sleep".

That sounds like a slightly different problem then. The problem I spoke about simply involves computers shutting down any time the screen is shut or if they time out. Several others with the problem switched sleep settings so that their computers never sleep, but that, of course, is unrealistic as a permanent fix.

It is overwhelmingly HP laptops, by the way, with the problem, although one or two Dell and Alienware users also reported it.

Alright, I guess I could go back to Windows 8.1, but I'm going to miss the start menu & Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. Thanks for answering so quickly.
