New Windows 10 download will not read my memory card and can not open certain photo or video files, why?

Windows Central Question

New windows 10 download will not read my memory card and can not open certain photo or video files

when I insert my memory card it will not read. It worked fine with Windows 7. Also when I access my videos and photos it says "can not open file". Can anybody tell me why??
