Ever since upgrading to Windows 10 I am having random "Access Denied" messages when saving files in various local directories. From my research it appears that I need to take ownership of my files again. However, I can't seem to get the system to understand that I am the owner. When attempting to take control many folders will come up with an enumeration error. Can anyone clarify why I am unable to take possession of my own folders? I think the reason I'm having issues is that after I upgraded I switched to a Microsoft account which uses a different username than what I used previously before the upgrade. But, there should still be a way to claim access to my files.

Try tweaking.com's Windows Repair All in one, make sure AV is disabled.

Are you logging in via a windows account?

If so add an Authenticated Users permission and give it the basic permissions.

Yes, I am logged in via my primary Windows account. According to the system I have "Full Control" over the "My Documents" folder and every sub-folder in it. However, whenever I attempt to save documents or images in certain folders I am told that access was denied.

Have you tried taking ownership in the advanced security settings?

Absolute worst comes to worst you could give "Everyone" access to the folder.

Yes, that was what I was attempting to show in my images. No one else uses the computer except me so I guess it wouldn't be an issue to give Everyone "full control." I'll see if that solves the problem.
