Why do I lose network connectivity when USB stick is plugged in?

I have an HP Stream running a clean install of Windows 10. Just today I've noticed that when I use my USB stick in the 3.0 USB port I will either lose connectivity or it will say the connection is limited. When I eject the USB stick, it comes back within 60 seconds or so. The other USB port has a wireless mouse plugged into it. This was not an issue when 8.1 was installed, or for Win10 until today which except for this has been perfect.
