I've successfully upgraded a laptop from Windows 7 Professional 32-bit to Windows 10 Pro 32-bit.
The upgrade appears to have completed successfully, except that on the right-hand side of the screen I've been left with the semi-transparent vertical grey sidebar background from the Gadgets that used to be displayed under W7.
Any text appearing 'under' the grey background looks bold.
Googling, I cannot find any mention of anyone else having the same problem. Right-clicking on the bar, or the desktop, doesn't give me any configuration options, nor can I find anything in Control Panel.
How can I get rid of this unwanted partial remnant of W7?
