What are some good microphones for Cortana?

I upgraded my new Windows 7 machine to Windows 10, shortly after Windows 10 became available. I've got an older Logitech Webcam on my machine, which is OK. However, when I was setting up Cortana to work with speech recognition, I remember she gave me a message saying that what I had wasn't optimal, but could work.

OK, so what would be better to work with Cortana? Maybe not top of the line (I can't afford it anywhere), but better so that it works well with Cortana?

Have you tried checking the audio settings of your PC? Sometimes the issue can be fixed by simply adjusting the microphone volume or the audio enhancement or amplification.

Let us know if this works. But generally, even an unbranded headset that costs less than US$10 should work perfectly with Cortana. For example in my Windows 7 laptop, just using a generic headset with the correct volume settings makes Cortana work flawlessly.

my mic costs like less than 1$ and it works fine, Cortana messes with my audio input so in skype calls people don't hear me as good and consistent as it was in 8.1 but its fine mostly

In my case (I used to have a $1 mic, too, but I "upgraded" to a $5 headset), it's Skype that messes with my audio - automatically adjusting my mic volume settings such that Cortana can't understand me at certain instances.
