Why can't Windows 10 open anymore documents?

Windows Central Question

windows ten can't open anymore my documents

All my documents saved under word doc are locked. I have change several times the format as they gave me the choice of different programs but everything fail, all I get is a picture of odt or word. Urgent please I need to get access to my docs
