Must I "update now" or can I "create media for another pc" for my pc?

The microsoft page with the FAQ about the media creation tool says that if I want to upgrade for free I should select "Upgrade my PC now". Does that mean that if I select "Create installation media for another PC", I can not upgrade for free (from windows 7 pro)?

I am reluctant to select "Upgrade my PC now", because I don't know what it is going to do. For example, I would rather not have my machine unavailable for an unknown amount of time while it downloads.

You can choose the create media for another pc and still get the free update.
