Windows 8.1 -> windows 10 fall update. Is this path possible?

I am still using windows 8.1 because I love it... But also I was holding on for the windows 10 November update as I know it will much much more refined and bug fixed than the initial rtm build. So now that it is out.. Will I be able to update directly from 8.1 to build 10586 or I'll have to go through build 10240 first?

Thanks but I'm more worried about losing my data if I use MCT. Is this the case though?
