PIN required to purchase/download apps for standard user accepting wrong PIN?

I made my kids a separate MS account to log into. I logged into the MS store with my account to download games that there were using before. I had it set up to prompt for a PIN before letting them download anything. After the update (maybe it was before this but didn't notice), when they go to download it stall asks for a PIN but it will no longer accepts mine but will accept the PIN for their log in. The account is set up as a Kids account and I wouldn't expect this to be the intended way for it to work. It really adds no security if the can just enter in the same PIN that the need to know to log in in the first place. Anyone else notice this or is something weird going on?
