this is getting old, old, old - Windows 10 start button stops working on a regular basis

it works for a few days, a week or so, and then it quits working. There is no rhyme or reason [aka pattern] to this.
I have to reboot at the most inconvenient times. This is one of there most advertised features with Windows 10 and it doesn't work correctly for many users. Is there a fix coming soon - emphasis on soon - ?

Hmm, I would start with running "sfc /scannow" in an elevated command prompt first. (this checks for system file corruption.)
