Unable to delete temporary files and empty recylce bin in storage in Windows 10, any suggestions?

I go into Storage, PC, then temporary files and select delete temporary files and confirm, the same for empty recycle bin and delete. I have waited for an hour while it says it is deleting, but there is no change.
