Type cover click not working

I have a surface 3 and the type cover is working fine, EXCEPT that I can't click the touchpad anymore.
Well, i can click it, but it does nothing... so I can't select anything. Tapping works, and two finger tap works but the actual click doesnt...

Have i accidentally changed some setting in Windows somewhere or is it broken?

Hi,

I can't say for certain but depending on how old the type cover is the sensors might have failed.

I don't know if you've looked at this already, if you have then sorry I can't help.
