Why is Bluetooth Share still not in Windows 10??? Some team somewhere listened..but not fully.

I will admit I was rather shocked when I saw I could now pair my phone and tablet ......under 8.1 both Lumia 1020 and Acer W3, the 2 devices could see each other and a connection would start but fail. Now My Lumia 640 XL ( still 8.1) and my Acer W3 ( now Windows 10), connect and stay connected.

So I thought I would add the Microsoft app Files ( File Explorer like with access to share)

No joy sending files to the Tablet from the phone.




So I am left to ask...why go this far and then block the door??? Or have I missed a setting.

The acer must have BT audio, otherwise it would not stay connected. See how the phone is BT connected

When the phone normally pairs to other phones or PC's it pairs, connects and disconnects, still paired.
To send files back and fourth start with the PC, right click the BT icon and select send a file or receive a file. The devices will connect, transfer and go back to the paired state.

Find your Bluetooth Icon in the System Tray, Right click and select Receive a File

I will try again when I have both devices together again. Left my tablet at work.

I hope this is something I am doing wrong, as it would be nice to have BT send available again between PC and mobile.

I have yet to try between my 1020 ( Win10Phone now) and my W3. Fingers crossed.

Sorry for slow reply, but I got it to work......It was my error, when I follow your instructions it worked !!!!!! Maybe there is hope we will once again have BT pair so my Tablet can use my phones GPS like back in the WinMo 6.5 days.
