Hi All

I'm happily running win10 Pro 64bit since August 2015 on my desktop PC . It is getting updates without problem, except that it is still on 10240, the upgrade to 1511 still hasn't shown up.

I've checked the usual stuff, like defer updates etc... can't find any reason why the upgrade hasn't been proposed.

I know I can use the media creation tool, but I'm really curious to know why this is so. I should add that my Surface Pro3 and my Vaio laptop all have upgraded without problem...

Anyone has the same experience? Any clue?

yes I had the exact same issue. tried defer and stuff like that. I then enrolled into the insider preview and then I had been getting every updates fine. later only I came to know that there was a windows.old folder on C drive and deleting that manually might help in getting newer updates. it should automatically do, but for some reason it didnt. please try that and inform.. :) reboot your PC after deleting the folder

Hi DheeraJ
Thanks for the tip. I checked it but I don't have such a folder, neither visible nor hidden.
I also tried WU troubleshooter, no problem detected...

I finally decided to upgrade manually to 1511, using the media creation tool.
Took roughly half an hour, all went well, I had only to recreate color profiles for my screens.
Case closed.
