Downgrading w10 to w8.1 possible?

I got a laptop that came standard with Windows 10 so it never had Windows 8 and I'm wanting to find out how I can go back to 8 or 8.1 without the option that it gives you can anyone help?

Cause I need it for my schooling it requires Windows 8.1 for some of the classes

I would say, if it came with an Windows 10 license, you will probably need to buy Windows 8.1 license if you must use 8.1 for your schoolin'.

Are you sure it doesn't need 8.1 or higher?

Seems odd, unless it is a "coding for 8.1" class.

I agree, you have to buy a license. Now, since you have 10 and don't need to upgrade... Maybe a builder's version would save you some $$$. Put it in VM or a separate partition and dual boot it.

Yeah, but the "or higher" part might be implied. The requirement likely was written before 10 was released.

I don't think I ever heard of a course that mandates you to be at less than current OS release.

Imma take a grain of salt with this.
