Files removed (or relocated?) after upgrade to Windows 10?

Files removed (or relocated?) after upgrade to Windows 10

After upgrading my laptop to Windows 10 and restarting the computer, almost all my files (word - excel - audio flis) are missingand I can't find them anywhere.
Can someone tell me if they are removed by the upgrade or just relocated on the computer.
