Why won't my reminder notification dismiss?

Reminder notification will not dismiss

I set a reminder on my phone with Cortana and the notification comes up every day on my desk top and I can't complete it.
I've tried to snooze and complete it but it won't go away.
How do you manage individual reminders.
Help

I just click the Search box (or press the Win key to bring it up, then click the lightbulb icon to go to Reminders, then click the reminder, then the trash icon at the bottom. Is this not working for you?

I totally forgot Cortana controlled all those reminders.
I selected the light bulb icon and went to history and was able to delete all those old reminders.
I love this site because of all the awesome people who are willing to help others
