Hi,
I began installting the update yesterday evening before going to bed. Now I see that my D: partition is gone. In the disk manager it says "149,05GB Unallocated". It is a 160GB Intel SSD. I had most applications installed and all my personal files on this partition.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks
M

Not necessarily. Reverting back has restored the partition for many others.

Use third party partition software, it should help you restore the partition. Also, while partition is gone, the data there should be intact.

Sounds like something went very wrong. Ignore posters telling you to revert, if the partition's been wiped that is no longer possible. I'd give the drive a full diskpart clean, then restore your OS from your system image. If you don't have an image made, it can't be a vital system so you can just reinstall a clean W10 build and start from there.

I would guess the advise would be "Always do a back up before doing major updates", just in case like.................
