can you check in settings for display scaling? It might have changed

Re: Anniversary update problem

It is on 100%. I contacted MS support and they told me to update display drivers but they are updated.

i faced the same issues, for icons you can right click on desktop> view > small icons. ;)

personally i wont suggest to update to AU using the too until the update is visible on your window s update, but do share your experiences with us ;)

The first thing that ive noticed when i logged in is that everything seemed slightly larger: taskbar, apps, text, menus and etc. I am using lenovo t440s non touch without any scaling. Settings seems the same after the update but it just feels wrong. Did windows increased the size of everything to make it more touch friendly? Do you know how to scale it back? am I the only one who experienced this?

Thanks

I am on a surface book and I am seeing no difference. I am guessing you checked to make sure the resolution didn't change during the upgrade?

Yes, task bar and Edge Browsing tabs are definitely very slightly larger. I had assumed it was to make things more finger friendly.

So should I Refresh my PC or maybe roll back to earlier build because this is so frustrating when I am doing something.

Can you take a screenshot?

Do you have an nvidia/amd card? If so get the latest drivers. Also get the Intel Driver update utility. If you use intel graphics it may find a newer driver to install. I know that it is possible for the resolution to be changed as it was on my brothers laptop at one point.

In my pc, the resolution is still the same before I update to AU.
Maybe your graphic driver broken or the graphic settings changed?

At first I thought so too, but not anymore after a couple of days with it. I don't know if it was just my imagination or if I got used to it.

They definitely changed certain element sizing and how they respond to display scaling. I went from windows 8.1 to w10 threshold to anniversary within this past week on my SP3

It's just different and I think for the better if they are trying to get a more consistent experience especially when you have monitors hooked up.

Sticky notes sizing was really changed though :)

Re: Anniversary update problem

I update my driver but still same thing. I am thinking about rolling back to previous build or maybe pc refresh. Maybe should I wait for Comulative update ? Any suggestions? :) ;)
