Window 10 AU mail app question

I'm enjoying the new features on Windows 10 AU. A question about the Mail app, and other apps in general. What is the latest version of the Mail app for desktop? I have 17.6965.41051.0 but on my phone (with Windows 10 Mobile 393.5) I have a newer version and it lets me use my Outlook.com aliases when creating a new email. Should my desktop also be on the 17.7xxxx version like my phone? If so, how I can I force the Store to update the app (you can easily check for app updates in Windows 10 Mobile)?

My desktop version is the same. The versions are often different but the desktop will catch up. It's just as different teams test and release.
