OneDrive Shared Folder

If I share a OneDrive folder with someone and they add it to their OneDrive so the files sync to their local machine then I subsequently stop sharing the folder with them, are the local copies deleted from their machine?

I don't believe local copies would be deleted from their machine.
They would just stop syncing.

If the files are now local to that person's machine I don't believe they get deleted.

There are settings in Onedrive that help reduce this issue though for future reference.

Local copies will be kept. If you're worried, then always do backups.

If you're wanting the files to be deleted form the shared folder, then you should be able to just rename it (to a folder you're NOT sharing), or better yet, move all the subfiles/folders to another (new) folder, and delete the old one.
At that point, depending on the other local machine OneDrive settings, their local copy should delete itself, at the next sync.

I use OneDrive, but I prefer GoodSync to sync to it, because the sync options are almost unlimited, a much better deal IMO...
