picture preview in surface book

I have a surface book for some months, but now that I tried to deal with pictures, every time I try to open one, the preview is not working and I have to guess which one should I choose to edit

Anyone else having the same problem?
Any fix?

When you open the Folder that contains the pictures, are all the pictures appeared in a generic image instead of a thumbnail of each picture ?

Is that what you see when you open the folder ?

If that is what you were looking at when you open a folder, then use this method...........
In the search box, type folder options > Enter.
Click View tab at the top > UN-check the box that says " Always show icons never thumbnails " > OK when done.

Check your folder. You should be able to see the thumbnail image of each picture.
