I wondering if anyone has tasted to see if they get more battery by turning the display Hz (refresh rate) on their laptop or tablet down

For example 24Hz 50Hz 60Hz 75Hz, its the refresh rate of the display

A couple years ago, I didn't see a major difference between the 50 and 60 Hz options on my then-daily driver ThinkPad T400. You'd probably get farther with underclocking and undervolting.

My desktop monitor can display 50, 59 and 60 Hz.
Difference betweem 50 and 60 is around 8%.
I doubt will see an exact 8% improvment in battery life, let's say 2-4%, which is insignificant.
But, if you also reduce brightness and ocntrast, underclock/undervolt the CPU/GPU and other intensive optimizations, maybe you can reach something like 10-15% battery life more.
But, is it really worth it, such hassle for 20-50 more minutes (based on average 4-10 hours) ??
