Clean install Win 10 - Version 1709 Build 16299.64. All updates installed.

I cannot get to the UEFI settings. Tried with both my user account and a built in Administrator. The system reboots, does nothing, then reboots again into Windows.

It's a pain because I want to deactivate the internal graphics adapter, and set up some boot options (CD, USB, etc.)

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Hold Shift while clicking Restart from in Windows (either Start menu or login screen). Click through Advanced options until you find UEFI Firmware. It will ask you to restart into UEFI Firmware.

If that doesn't work, what system do you have? Pre-built, or a motherboard you bought yourself? What model?

To close this out:

I did some playng =-- had noticed that with UEFI boot the Integrated Graphics card was always enabled, even though I had disabled in the BIOS before updating. So I hooked up a monitor to the IG port and saw a boot error message about Video OptionROM Authenticate Fail, but then the BIOS settings came up. A little detective work led me to the fact the on-board graphics was not compatible with UEFI. I'm on the latest BIOS available, so there is no fix. However when I add Legacy Boot to the Boot options and disable the on-board card I can get to the Settings and don't need the 2nd monitor. Can't seem to get control over boot devices -- If needed I'll probably just have to disable UEFI and then boot from CD or USB from a Boot menu (I hope!)

Thanks for jumping in. . .
