Streaming Music From Windows 8 Laptop to Xbox 360?

when I had windows 7 on my laptop I was able to connect multiple laptops to the network and transfer media from laptop to laptop and stream from my laptop to 360 with no issues at all. Now since ive put windows 8 on my laptop sometimes the streaming to 360 works and most of the time it doesn't. Is there a exact way to do this or a setting that I maybe overlooking with windows 8 on my laptop?

You might want to check with media player on your Windows 8 laptop. There's a "streaming" section, I think under Library menu. That allows you to turn on media share. I'm not in front of my person PC right now, so I cant give you proper directions. However, in the past, once I mess with the Media Player settings, everything worked just fine.

Currently I don't use my computer to hold my music or movies, I know have a NAS. Now any device on the network doesn't depend on my Windows desktop for media sharing.
