Win8 Xbox live games not able to play offline

So what is it with not being able to play Xbox Live apps without a internet connection? Am I missing something or is it not possible? I'm using a Asus Vivotab Smart with Win8.

I have never had a issue running any game on My Surface RT offline. What app are you having issues with and what type of error are you getting?

I've noticed that with Halo Spartan Assault.

Certain games require internet because they have daily challenges. That is the only thing I have ran into... But the only thing it does, is locks out one specific part of the game.

Couldn't play the other day on Halo: Spartan Assault. Can't play Reckless Racing at all, tells me to sign in at xbox.com and try again then closes the app. Halo seems to work if I actually turn my wifi setting off. Tried all my games and most of them work now. I wonder if turning the wifi off makes a difference. Any remedy for Reckless Racing?
