Has 8.1 fixed this wifi problem?

In 8, when you look at task manager and examine the Wifi graph it will show the top of the bar as 54Mbps even though you are connected at something higher on N (say 230Mbps). The top of the graph should show the speed you are connected at.
 
Mine is only showing 100 kbps, even though it's higher. Though mine shows connecting on G. This is on 8.
 
Yeah...that's why I asked if the problem is fixed in 8.1

Are you sure youre not confusing the chart showing speed in Mbps and at the bottom showing Kbps?
 
no, the top of the graph should show the speed you are connected at and the actual bar being graphed should show your current speed. I am not connected at 54Mbps, I'm connected (usually) at 230. The graph tops out at 54Mbps and it shows my current connected rate at about 23Mbps. Something is horribly wrong with the graph representation. One should not have to interpret the graph, it should be pretty simple, max rate at the top, current connected rate graphed.
