Desktop Icons on other users

Running Win8 on the family machine two users each with it's own password. Problem is when one user downloads a game or a program, and placing a icon shortcut on the desktop it also places that I con on the other account. is there a way of preventing that if there is one,?

The games/apps from the store should only come up for one user, but for normal desktop programs I think it depends on the program. some programs install for all users, and some for only one. I don't think you can change that, but you can take away the icon from the other user afterwards :smile:

To solve this, just uncheck whatever option that places it on the desktop, and just put it there yourself (seeing as Win8 doesn't have a Start Menu)
