Windows 8.1 BSOD when connected to Windows Phone Tether

I used to be able to tether my Samsung S7S to my HTC 8X no problem. After installing 8.1, I get the big BSOD or the Blue Sad Face of Death. I tried renaming my Tethering Network, but that didn't help. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hah! I may have found a solution! Too bad it is in German and I don't have a cipher.:unhappy:

It was the FIPS! Go into wirless connection, advanced and check the FIPS button. After that, no more BSODs.

Its a must that i tether my phone to both my windows 8.1 laptops, Iv been totally lost!
