Updating from 8.1 preview not working

Hey guys, so i'm one of those people that downloaded the 8.1 preview about a month of two ago. Now I'm trying to update to 8.1 and here is what I've encountered.

- The update wasn't showing up in the store first of all. (all my updates are up to date)
- Had to force the store to check for update via this link: ms-windows-store:WindowsUpgrade
- After pressing the download button, saw the little circular rotating wheel for queuing. Lasted about 5 seconds, then returned me to the Store.
- I don't know what happened, if it started or not. Their is no download bar, nothing indicating a download has started..
- I've repeated the download step 2 more times, but nothing different.

Their is no green bar for the download, nor anything indicating theirs a download in progress. So I'd really love some help if you guys could help me out.

Notes:
- Downloaded 8.1 Preview from the windows store, not an ISO or other media.
- Asus KT46m i7 quad core, 6GB memory, Nvidia GT635m
- I've removed the windows 8.1 preview watermark, but i don't think that's the reason why it's not working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
