Windows 8.1 killed Google search

Ok so I updated to windows 8.1 on my laptop and when I try a google search the results show up in a straight line going down. Is anyone else having this problem?

What browser are you using? Are you using metro or desktop?

I have no issues with Google search using Firefox Nightly in metro or desktop (I use Firefox Nightly as my default browser). Google search also works using desktop IE11 or Opera (12.16 or 17).

This seemed to work for me. found it after searching for quite some time.
IE11 -> Tools -> Compatibility View Settings.
Remove check on "Use Microsoft Compatibility lists".
