So, installed Windows 8.1 Update 1 about few weeks ago, and 4 days ago windows store started behave strangly. Sometimes it opens but freezes, sometimes it is stuck at the green screen. Since then i can't install anything from the store, can't update my apps and so on.... Someone experiencing something familiar? Is this a bug or it's at my end?

It could be something in the background, very strange that the update would cause this.

How much of a hassle would be to do a clean install and redo the update?

I thought about that. And i think reinstall can solve this. But anyway it's a bit strange - all drivers are up to date, but modern app troubleshooter shows, that graphic drivers might be out of date. But they are latest from the Intel. When i do sfc /scannow it shows that everything is ok.

Did the graphics driver upload automatically via windows update or did you download them manually?

Maybe uninstall the drivers and reinstall the latest from intels website first before doing a fresh install.

Although that would relate to the app store not working correctly. Hmmm

The spring update made a restore point on my system, can you rollback to the restore just before it was installed and then try to replicate the issue?

Oh no!

Ok well you can uninstall them manually.

Go to control panel, then uninstall programs, then view installed updates.

uninstall the following
•KB2919442
•KB2919355
•KB2932046
•KB2937592
•KB2938439

The above updates are everything related to the spring update. So uninstall them and see if the issues persist and then let us know. :)

Found beta drivers for my Intel HD card and problem seems to be solved. Sometimes freezes, but most of the time seems to be working normally.

It's been a long time since my last post, so the situation has changed the good way. Done nothing with windows and after last big update the store is working just fine. No refresh or reinstall needed.
