Everytime when i try to play a video on youtube

If you're in a metro app, then it automatically goes to metro IE for links. I have it set through desktop IE (internet options ? programs) to automatically open IE tiles in desktop mode, but it still opens metro app links in metro mode. As far as I know, you can't change this.

i get this error using only IE in metro mode, i open a new tab, go to YouTube, click a video and the same error page

Try deleting internet files and cookies and then try clicking a YouTube link in metro IE to see if that might fix it.

I also have this problem. Started a couple of days ago, and only occurs on select when I'm signed in to You Tube. If I log out then try and watch the same video it works fine.

Edit: Desktop IE11

This worked for me on the Microsoft Community thread linked by sd173:

Open internet explorer then Tools

Then go to Manage Ad-ons

on the left hand side, go to Tracking Protection

Then find Get a Tracking Protection List online

When in this, change the top (Mine says Australia(English) to United States(English)

Go down this list to find Stop Google Tracking and Add it.

You can go back to Manage Ad ons to find this in the list.

After doing this I could watch You Tube videos again

Just another reason to hate Google.
