so here's what has happened. i had the desktop onedrive app installed on my c drive. i went to move a bunch of photos, nearly 100 gigs, to onedrive by selecting them on my d drive and dragging them up the menu to onedrive. the files move, but then i notice that i have about 100 gigs less space on my c drive. i change my settings to make the photos only available online, but he space hasn't come back.
i then uninstall the onedrive and reinstall it thinking i'll just reinstall it on my d drive which has significantly more space than my c drive. but onedrive appears to auto install to c. so i go into the settings and move it from c to d drive. the move seems to have worked fine, but the lost memory on my c drive is still gone.
the last thing i tried was to just deleted everything from onedrive. still the lost memory is still lost.
any idea on what's going on and how to fix it? i ran disk cleanup, but it didn't really find anything.
