Hard reset your 8.1 PC before you install the Windows 10 free upgrade

As it almost 1 day left before 7/8.1 users will able to upgrade to Windows 10 for free, would you hard reset your computer before you upgrade, or just let it be as it is before you upgrade?

I did not do a new install when I loaded the 10240 release on my desktop. Doing a new install on a PC; especially if you have lots of programs and data loaded, is not a trivial task.

Doing a new install on a phone is one thing; on a PC, I have never done it. Haven't had any major problems but I'm not a power user.

I guess it's up to you.
