How am I supposed to connect to wfi with windows 8

I lost my phone and just got a replacement phone. Before I could go to wifi in settings and simply choose a network and put in the password. On this phone it uses "map data sense" - it shows me a map with dozens of wifi spots but they are not labelled with network names. I have a network right here in the building I'm in that I can connect to but I have no idea which one it is (I'm in the middle of a big city and there is wifi everywhere). I can't update my phone apparently unless I'm connected to wifi.:straight:

Turn off wifi, then enter the Wifi Sense settings and turn them off, reenable wifi and you should be able to select from a list of detected wifi networks.
