Is XBOX Gams no more on Windows as every time I attempt to sign-in using my Microsoft Account I keep getting an error about unable to connect or sign-in (can't remember which of the two it is)?

Unfortunately I don't have any answer for you. I just wanted to say that I'm having the exact same issue, so at least you'll know it's not something with you alone.

Have you tried signing in on Xbox.com using the same Microsoft Account? That resolved the issue for me.

All working now, after signing into xbox.com.
