When I'm using IE, I end up downloading a bunch of files like pdfs or word documents. Does IE store these files permanently or is it part of the browser history/cache. If it does is there a way to delete these files. I don't want to find out a year or something from now that my space is all used up by files I never use.

Thanks

I'm not sure if Windows Phone is downloading and saving the file permanently. If I had to take an educated guess I would say the OS is saving it temporarily and then ditching it when you close it or the app using it. Of course, this may vary depending on the application.

Certainly for PDFs they get saved permanently, you can delete them from the phone using the Adobe Reader app, for documents I believe they are temporary, I know that I have to intentionally save a file locally and then delete it later if I want to view said document at a later time
