For example, if someone calls me. Instead of a ring they will have a song?

I believe the ringback tone is provided by your carrier. Sprint offers this service.

oooh, I'll have to check. Do they charge me a lot for this?

Edit: It's not like I'm gonna force everyone that wants to call me, to listen to Nyan Cat or anything >_>.

AT&T and Verizon both offer them for sure.

It's like $1.99 a month, and $1 for every new tone. Verizon did have some pretty specific customization options. I'm not sure about AT&T.

It can be, but so are many things that make people smile. I guess from that perspective maybe not such a waste.

The best/strangest/worst part is when somebody calling you is singing the song when you answer, and then they harass you about your choice of music.

Check out ect's blog post on 'The most common misunderstandings about ring back tones' I think that explains the whole ringback tone and "how can I get ringback tones on my phone?" think quite good.
