    Hello.

I am curious if anyone knows how Windows Phone Update works technically. In the Windows desktop/server world there is a Windows Update client that performs the update in conjunction with some cloud services.

However, since Windows Phone has multiple carriers with different network configurations, I assume there is something special about each Windows Phone Update per carrier.

Am I able to know when an update is pushed to Windows Phones in my environment? If so, who controls those updates? The carriers? Microsoft?

Overall I am just looking for some general information and if there are some docs out there, I would love to read them.

    Thanks for your time.
