App switching lock idea

Please excuse the shotty editing job, I currently don't have Phototshop - MS paint sucks, who knew?

NOTE: The photo was taken from bing images, I simply edited a Lock onto it.


This may already exist and I just don't know how to do it, but I thought it would be cool to have a lock on the app switcher. It would be nice to be able to toggle a lock on/off to save specific items to the switcher, such as apps, webpages, or whatever you choose. Currently the most recent 6 are shown and move off the list when a new one is added.

What do you think?

Great simple idea. However, what if you lock in 5 apps. Then when you try to open another app, what happens? I guess they could limit the number of locks to 4 that way there is always an app that can be replaced. Post your idea on the MS suggestions site wherever that is. Someone here has posted it, just not sure who.

Also, you would not be able to lock the start screen.
